Here is the third video I shot at Gowalla’s See The World Party at South By Southwest this year. Matt & Kim – Cameras. Some fun banter before they start the track. This is the first single off their latest album Sidewalks. If you don’t have any of their stuff, you should buy all three albums right now: Matt & Kim, Grand and Sidewalks. I shot all the videos on my iPhone4 (original resolution 1280×720) from right at the front on left side of the stage. Completely unedited. Shot and uploaded straight off my phone.

I shot all the videos on my iPhone4 (original resolution 1280×720) from right at the front on left side of the stage. This one is slightly cut off at the beginning. I missed the opening riff and maybe the first line.

I was lucky enough to get VIP access to Gowalla’s See The World Party at South By Southwest this year. Matt & Kim were the headliners and Flosstradamus crushed it in the opening slot. Matt & Kim were fantastic. The energy was amazing, and the crowd was bonkers the entire set. This is the first of 5 videos I shot on my iPhone4 from right at the front on left side of the stage.

Gabriella Eng Relaunch

February 21st, 2010

Gabriella Eng Website
www.gabriellaeng.com

Just re-launched gabriellaeng.com after a pretty brutal hit. I ignored some (OK, a LOT) of expiration notices from Netfirms and they wiped the account. I ended up getting a partial MySQL database backup pulled, but still lost quite a few posts and comments and the custom WordPress template. Lesson learned.

It’s back up and running now though. Still have to add the new posts back in at some point. Hopefully I still have an older backup of the hundreds of pre-2006 posts that included a single post for every day across 2004-2005. I’m too scared to look for it at this point though.

Wow, what a project this was. We were tasked with strategy, concepting, architecture, design, and template buildout and then handed off the templates to another firm for the application build. This site was a massive undertaking, as the old site was 90% text, with a horrid UX, but massive search engine rankings that we had to maintain. Project tasks included SEO with a partnering firm, extensive Information Architecture, Project Management and Art Direction.
